From what I've heard customer service for all 4 major motherboard brands (ASUS, Gigabyte, Asrock, and MSI) are kind of shit. The “controller” is usually part of the Mainboard. Most more recent ones have PUMP headers and fan headers have been there for ages. Indeed, many mid-range and high-end boards have lots of headers these days.
